"ALL THE STUDENTS ARE INFORMED THAT A PEN
BOX HAS BEEN LOST IN THE SCHOOL PLAY
GROUND DURING RECESS"
This is the exact sentence used in a
notice in which we want to inform the
students of missing pen box, can we use
'HAS' in this sentence, if not what else
can be used in this place ? could any one
help me with the answer ?

"ALL THE STUDENTS ARE (HEREBY) INFORMED THAT A PEN BOX WAS LOST IN THE SCHOOL PLAYGROUND DURING RECESS."

That is how I would write it. Are you trying to inform them so that they can help recover it? Because if that's the case, then I would add another sentence to that effect. A sentence like:

"IF YOU HAVE ANY INFORMATION ABOUT ITS WHEREABOUTS, KINDLY LET ONE OF THE STAFF MEMBERS KNOW.

YOUR HELP IN RECOVERING IT WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED."
